Startled Calf
Startled Calf is an American hardcore punk band from El Paso, Texas, United States, formed in 1991. It featured Omar Rodriguez-López on vocals, Jimmy Hernandez on bass, and on drums.
While touring, the band was described by Cedric Bixler-Zavala. as one of the most rowdy in El Paso.
The band broke up in 1992. Several years later, on July 8, 1995, Hernandez died of cancer the day after his 21st birthday. The other members are still making music in many different creative forms.
