History

St. Xavier’s School, Bhiwadi is a Christian minority school under the management of Jesuits of Delhi Province of the Society of Jesus, an International Catholic Religious Order, in collaboration with Franciscan Sisters of Our Lady of Graces. Started in 1993, the school is affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) for the All India Secondary School Examination (Class X) and All India Senior School Certificate Examination (Class XII).

The Society of Jesus (popularly known as the Jesuits), founded by St. Ignatius of Loyola in 1540, has been active in the field of education throughout the world since itsorigin. Besides its formal educational institutions , it runs innumerable Adult and non- formal Education.

St. Xavier's School, 4 Rajniwas Marg, Delhi-110054; St. Xavier's School, Rohini, Delhi-110085, St. Xavier's School, Jaipur, St. Xavier's School, Behror are the other Schools run by the Jesuits of Delhi Province.

Mission

Jesuit Education is inspired by a vision drawn from the life and teachings of Jesus Christ who has always been respected and admired by the people of India. It is also based on the principles of character formation elaborated by the founder of the Society of Jesus. This vision and these principles give Jesuit educational institutions a specific character set before their staff, students and parents high ideals of humanism and service towards which they are invited continually to strive. Our objective is to promote the total development of the WHOLE PERSON so as to be fully human, fully Indian and truly modern. The School aims at the integral and personal formation of the young. To accomplish this, special efforts are made.

  1. to help students to become mature spiritually oriented men and women of character;
  2. to encourage them continually to strive after excellence in every field;
  3. to value and judiciously use their freedom;
  4. to be clear and firm in principles and courageous in action;
  5. to be unselfish in the service of their fellow human beings; and
  6. to become agents of needed social change in the country.

The Jesuit School thus aims at making at making its own contribution towards a radical transformation of present day social conditions, so that the principles of social justice, equality of opportunity, genuine freedom and respect for religious and moral values enshrined in the Constitution of India may prevail and the possibility of living a fully human existence may be open to all.
