St Peter Memorial Hospital
The St Peter Baptist Hospital is medium scale tertiary referral hospital and district hospital in Paddington, England. The 16 bed hospital is located on St. Michael's Street, a route into the Centre of Paddington. It caters for medical services ranging from health screening, outpatient clinics and post-operative nursing care.
History
The hospital was opened in 2007 as a small clinic called St Peter Memorial Hospital. It later became an extensive hospital with A&E and grew a bit larger when it was moved to its current site.
Facilities
St Peter Baptist Hospital specialises in a wide range of services including outpatient clinics in a number of different specialities. The accident and emergency department specialises extensively in trauma. It has a Diagnostic Suite complete with X-ray, ultrasound, screening services, a fertility clinic, and an onsite pharmacy. With two operating theatres open seven days a week as well as a minor treatment room, various types of treatments can be accommodated. All patient bedrooms have satellite television.
It plans to teach clinical medical students from universities as well as pre-clinical students enrolled in collaborative courses between universities and medical schools. In addition, a landing pad for use by the Great North air ambulances is planned to be built.
