Srinivas Young Mens' Association

Srinivas Young Mens' Association (SYMA) is a popular social service organisation, founded in the precincts of Thiruvallikkeni, India. It was formed by a group of ACTIVE youth in 1977 with the purpose of serving and bettering society. Its offices are based in Triplicane, Chennai.

Activities

They are into social service in various forms presently focusing on two regular activities

  • Medical Centre - which functions in their own premises. This is functional for 2 hours in the evening of all days excluding Sundays and National holidays. They charge Rs.2/- per patient and provide free consultation and medicine. Daily around 50 poor people benefit from this facility.

A Medical blood analysis lab also functions at this same place. It functions in the mornings of all days - excluding National holidays

  • SYMA Growth - The full-time tuition centre, inaugurated in 2008 provides full-time tuition to poor students. Presently there are 4 classes - X Std Tamil medium; X Std English medium; +2 Commerce Group and +2 Science Group
