SR Labs

SR Labs is an electronic trading systems provider for financial service companies based in New York City. The company provides market data feed handlers and market data access to exchanges in North America, Asia and Europe. Its clients include investment banks, hedge funds, trading technology software providers and proprietary trading firms.

Srinivasan Ramiah founded the company in 2007 and was the CEO until September 2014.

History

SR Labs was founded by Srinivasan Ramiah in 2007. Prior to founding the company, Ramiah was a senior consultant at Merrill Lynch. He serves as CEO of the company. Dipanjan Chatterjee is former Vice President of Goldman Sachs and Merrill and Lynch. He holds the position of COO of SR Labs.

The company raised $53 million from Insight Venture Partners in January 2013. The funding round was aimed to increase the company's growth outside of the United States. SR Labs opened a development center in Pune, India that year with intention to expand customer support in Europe, Asia and Latin America. In 2014, SR Labs acquired Wombat Financial Software and ITS Platform from NYSE Technologies.

In September 2014, Ramiah stepped down as CEO and became Chairman of the Board. SR Labs announced Richard Korhammer as the new CEO.

Products

SR Labs provides market data and market access libraries for low latency electronic trading. SR Labs flagship market data product is SR Market Data Solution (SMDS), which has multicast (MDRC), shared memory (MMDRC) and in-process (MIPS) modes. The company was the first to commercially offer the in-process (MIPS) solution.
