During his time at Capital University, students and faculty took a high interest in his music and lifted his career off the ground. He eventually began performing in cafes and bars to work on his stage presence as well. He began sending a few MP3 of his recordings to accepting labels, and an A&R rep at Tate Publishing & Enterprises heard his music, combined with him having already played large shows, and led to Saylor being offered a publishing contract with Tate. In 2013, Saylor and Tate will debut the EP Highs and Lows which will compile his earliest acoustic work.
