History
The modern firm was created through the merger of Speechly Mumford & Soames and the City office of Bircham & Co in 1975 with each firm tracing its roots back to the mid 19th century. In 1997 Speechly Bircham merged with Bailey Shaw & Gillett and in June 2009 with Campbell Hooper to create a 250 lawyer firm practising from modern offices at New Street Square in the City of London.
