Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine
Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine (SCNM) is a naturopathic medical school located in Tempe, Arizona, United States. Founded in 1992. SCNM is one of only six accredited Naturopathic medical school in North America.
Overview of academics
SCNM offers a professional degree in Naturopathic Medicine N.D. This four year program prepares graduates to become primary care providers in each of the states which license Naturopathic Doctors.
- Year 1 focuses on normal anatomy, physiology, and biochemistry.
- Year 2 focuses on pathology, diagnostic techniques, and disease.
- Years 3 and 4 are the clinical years and focus on preventative medicine, pediatrics, geriatrics, gynecology, obstetrics, physical medicine, neurology, endocrinology, cardiology, pulmonology, urology, dermatology and immunology.

The college received accreditation in 2004 by the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools
The college is a member of the American Association of Naturopathic Medical Colleges (not an accreditor).
