Southern Collegiate Baseball League
Established in 1999, the Southern Collegiate Baseball League (SCBL) is a non-profit, wooden bat collegiate summer league with seven teams in the Carolinas and Eastern Tennessee. College players from four-year institutions (NCAA and NAIA) as well as junior and community colleges are eligible to play. The SCBL differs from other summer wooden bat leagues, in that, teams only play a 42-game schedule and pitchers may only throw a maximum of 85 pitches. At the end of the season, the top 4 teams play in a tournament, which is hosted by the #1 seed, for the Jeffers Cup.
