Sonic and Pals

Sonic and Pals is an ongoing series of comics created by Trevor Fayas on his website of the same name. The series has much of slapstick humor and parodies.

Story

It all began when a mysterious author decided to start a comic series based on Sonic, his friends, and new characters.

Testing, Testing

The author starts with two test sprites from the Megaman series. After a series of tests, involving backgrounds and speech bubbles, the author launches the comic with a transformation.

Sonic and Pals

The author sets the mood of the comic, while introducing Sonic the Hedgehog, Knuckles the Echidna, Miles "Tails" Prower, Amy Rose, and Dr. Eggman. The author is also first seen as a sprite of Shadow the Hedgehog.

Purple

Nothing much happens in this part, except that the background is changed to purple.

Sonic the Hedgehog (video game)

In this part of the story, the author forces Sonic to play the first Sonic game. The story sets a number of new characteristics. Sonic becomes stupid, we learn that he'll do anything for a chili dog, he now has lavaphobia, and goes through a [...]-induced coma. Along the way, he battles Robotnik, who hates being called "Dr. Robuttnik," and runs to his house, therefore ending the battle quickly. Meanwhile, Knuckles builds his own laser sword, similar to a lightsaber in Star Wars, and we learn that he hates Power Rangers. He meets a new character named Selestial, a fox with magic powers similar to the author.

"Normal" Again

Everything goes back to normal. Meanwhile, a new villain and his assistant, named Horus, plans a way to wipe out Knuckles. The plan fails miserably, as Horus is frozen by Selestial, so she and Knuckles leave with Tails and Amy to see a movie. Later, we learn that Selestial's favorite drink is grape soda. After an epic battle in which Knuckles turns super, Horus decides to join the crew.

Good vs. Wanna-Be-Evil

Knuckles, Tails, Horus, Selestial, and Sonic blow up Horus's old master's fortress.

Armageddon

After Knuckles and Horus rudely tells the author to leave, Selestial has a dream that the earth will be destroyed. They go see a Dream Giver, who is none other than Cream the Rabbit. Knuckles learns that a certain stone upon activation will grant you one wish. After a long journey, Knuckles retrieves the stone. Selestial wishes that everything was back to normal and that the author would come back. During this part of the story, a sprite named Larry lists some things he dislikes.

Sonic the Hedgehog 2 (16-bit): Part 1

Eggman captures Amy and Tails. The author (now known as Trey) decides to send Sonic and Selestial into Sonic the Hedgehog 2. More chaos ensues, but Eggman has gotten therapy, meaning that he doesn't whine over name-calling anymore. The story ends in a Part 1 because Trey decides to close down Sonic and Pals. He does decide to continue the next day.

Meanwhile

Knuckles and Horus are on a mission to stop a weird man named Dr. Wily. It is unknown how the mission ends, though.

Sonic the Hedgehog 2 (16-bit): Part 2

Sonic and Selestial defeat Eggman in the final stage when Tails and Selestial mysteriously glow yellow. After they visit Cream, they eventually drain their strength. Afterwards, Cream moves to the village.

Mercenary Mission 1

Horus and Selestial retrieve bagels for a Spanish armada.

Hamlet

The whole cast of Sonic and Pals does a show based on the story Hamlet by William Shakespere.

Sonic the Hedgehog 3

Sonic and Knuckles perform a tag-team action in this game. Sonic takes the first act, and Knuckles takes the second. Eggman is thwarted again, and the Chaos Emeralds are brought back home.

In Between Storylines

Amy has turned Knuckles's bank account into negative numbers. Most of the debts have been paid off, though. However, a loan shark captures Selly, and Cream.

Save the Girls

Tails and Horus go through many stages of many games, and they rescue the girls from the loan shark.

Termination

Emerl arrives to the present, apparently created by Cream. He warns the people that Mephiles the Dark is after Tails and Selly. During this, Trey loses his powers. After a fearsome battle in space, Mephiles is defeated.

Powerless Ranger

This is a two-part story. Knuckles and Horus hunt down the Power Rangers; and, Trey recovers his powers with a new character, Kristy.

Dimensions and Dark Lords

Sonic and Tails battle against a Hamster Lord. Meanwhile, Selly falls into a dimensional shift, and could not return. She marries the other dimensional Tails there, whose baby will later come back to fight Mephiles in the future.

SaP Goes Advanced 1

Currently, between a random choice of two characters, the Sonic gang is going through Sonic Advance.

Development

Trevor Fayas was inspired by a website that did sprite comics, much like his own today. He then decided to do sprite comics based on the Sonic the Hedgehog series. Trevor has done countless parodies of famous products, such as Knuckles hating Power Rangers, the [...]-induced coma appearing on the website he looked at, and the beginning with the Megaman sprites. Trevor's WorkTime on these comics are extremely stressful at times because he is in college. On some days where he has big assignments to do, he just does a short comic, which is why the Sonic characters establish him as "lazy." Normally, a comic would take him 1-3 hours a day.

Sonic is a blue hedgehog and has a passion for chili dogs and Chaos Emeralds. He is scared of burning lava, and jokes are centered on his stupidity most of the time.
