Sofie Ølgaard

Danish clothing designer Sofie Ølgaard draws inspiration from her Scandinavian roots where she creates a look based on the melancholic side of Scandinavian culture combined with playful esthetics. Her style is founded in simplicity and understated detail.

Background

Sofie Ølgaard grew up in Denmark and earned her Bachelor of Arts in Womens Wear at the London College of Fashion in the UK. She received acclaim for her ability to turn the utilitarian style of men’s clothing into beautifully crafted clothing for women. Upon graduation she moved to the States and continued with her commitment of self-expression by starting a clothing line.

Commitment

The detail, quality and the history of the clothes are important, and each collection is born with a great deal of dedication, passion, creativity and love.
