Soda & His Million Piece Band

Soda & His Million Piece Band was an L.A.-based rock band that played punk-inflected Americana and Blues. Fronted by Tom "Soda" Gardocki (one-time guitarist in the 90's punk band Wax), who sang and played guitar and harmonica, the group consisted of Ben Loory (mandolin, baritone saxophone, concertina, accordion), Jason Gonzalez (lap steel, banjo, guitar, mandolin), Matt Chait (guitar), Kevin Lacey (upright bass), Mike Armstrong (tenor saxophone, hammond organ, melodica), Brian Wright (guitar, banjo, organ, mandolin), The Deacon (drums, percussion) and previously Krys Chang (violin), Jud PRATT (trombone), and Matt Spizer (drums). Their first (self-titled) CD, released on Haulin' [...] Records in 2004, drew favorable comparisons to Tom Waits, Nick Cave, and The Pogues.
