Snakes on the Radio
Snakes on the Radio is a continuing music series starring nerd-folk MusicAL duo The Doubleclicks and musician Lucia Fasano (Portlandia, Catty B's). Snakes on the Radio will play in five different cities, debuted on September 18, 2016 at Illusive Comics in Santa Clara, California and ended on October 15, 2016 at Books With Pictures in Portland, Oregon.
Background
Nerd-folk music duo The Doubleclicks and sisters Angela and Aubrey Webber created their own independent record label Doubleclicks Records with their first album being Lucia Fasano's Radio Silence. The Kickstarter crowdfunding campaign for the album was funded 228 percent with the original goal set by the Webbers at $3,000. However, $6,858 was received. In August 16, 2016, it was announced that both The Doubleclicks and Lucia Fasano would begin their tour Snakes On The Radio in the cities Santa Clara, Oakland, Burbank, West Hollywood, and Portland.
The Doubleclicks played both their old songs and newer songs from their latest album President Snakes. Lucia Fasano played songs from their debut album Radio Silence. The last show is a CD release party at the new Portland, Oregon comic book store Books With Pictures for Fasano's album Radio Silence which will also feature Barbara Holm and Kyle McCormick.
