Smile Foundation
Smile Foundation is an NGO based in India.
Its activities range from Providing children with relevant education to calamity aid. Smile Foundation is a development organization in India with its reach up to more than 1 lac underpreviledge children. Under its Social Venture Philanthropy model, Smile Foundation has been supporting about 100 grassroots level NGOs across 21 states of India.
There are various programs that run under Smile. Education for underprivileged children is the prime objective. It has also started project Swabhiman which is focused on women empowerment. Other major projects include Smile On wheels (Mobile hospital Prog.), Smile Twin e-learning Projects (Employability for underprivileged youth), Health with Smile (Free Health camps for poor children and women.
Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is a major activity of Smile. It has been working with numerous corporate for child welfare initiatives. A few of them include Microsoft, UPS Inc., HSBC, HDFC, XANSA, Ranbaxy, Suzlon Energy etc.
Smile Foundation strives to follow two approaches in its initiatives - partnership model and sustainable project management.
Smile honours the Millennium Development Goals (MDG) and follow the same.
