Slusho

Slusho is a fictional drink featured in the projects of producer J.J. Abrams, including his television show, Alias and his upcoming film, Cloverfield.

Cloverfield

Slusho makes an appearance and may play an (unconfirmed) important role in the film. In the teaser trailer, the logo can be seen on a t-shirt worn by a character named Jason "Hawk" Hawkins (played by Mike Vogel). This has provoked much speculation on its role in the film.

The Cloverfield incarnation of Slusho is a subsidary of Tagruato, a fictional Japanese drilling company. Its role May Be foreshadowed, if not given away entirely, in the history of the drink on the Slusho official website. Here it is revealed that Slusho contains an ingredient "discovered on the deep ocean floor, under amazing pressure and in the most extreme cold." The history also details that the Japanese scientist who discovered the ingredient had a dream just after its discovery wherein its consumption caused him to "grow (sic) from a small fish to an enormous whale!!!"

Heroes

Despite it having barely any connection with Bad Robot or J.J. Abrams, in the episodes "Cautionary Tales" and "Truth and Consequences," Elle is seen drinking Slusho. Producer Greg Beeman also posted pictures on his blog of cast members with Slusho.

Alias

The Alias episode featuring Slusho presented the product in an entirely different manner than the one shown in Cloverfield. The logo was entirely different, closely resembling that of Icee, and was spelled "Slush-O" rather than "Slusho". Also, in Cloverfield, Slusho is depicted as a Japanese drink, whereas it appears more American in Alias.

Kenan and Kel

In the episode "In the Line of Kenan", Kenan is seen fixing a Slusho machine at the Rigby's store. and throughout the scene it is mentioned how delicious Slusho is. The president (a fictional US president who is not named) comes into the store and buys a Slusho also.
