Slayer's tenth studio album

The tenth studio album of all original material by Slayer will be recorded in early 2008 and released later that year. According to an interview with vocalist/bassist Tom Araya, the follow-up to 2006's highly acclaimed Christ Illusion will probably be Slayer's last recording and be produced by Rick Rubin, who has been working with them since 1986's Reign in Blood.

The New release will also mark the second time Slayer recorded an album with the original line-up since drummer Dave Lombardo's departure after The Release of 1990's Seasons in the Abyss.
