South Jersey Paranormal Research or SJPR is a nonprofit organization with 501(c)(3) status that is devoted to the study of the paranormal and ghostly phenomena. SJPR was founded in November 2001 by six individuals including Susan Bove’. The main goal of South Jersey Paranormal Research is to utilize scientific methods to uncover information and key data regarding the unexplained realm of the paranormal. Digital cameras, 35 mm cameras, video cameras, digital audio recorders, thermometers, and EMF (electromagnetic field) detectors are just a few of the types of equipment that the group uses at investigations to document evidence.

SJPR has conducted investigations at places of business, private homes, historical sites, and cemeteries in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Delaware, Maryland, Massachusetts, and Connecticut. In addition to investigating sites known to be haunted, South Jersey Paranormal Research also works closely with historic organizations for fundraising and helps those in need. There are approximately 30 members of SJPR.

The group is led by a Board of Directors consisting of Susan Bove’, Sherri Halpin, Rorie Hirschmann, Karen Spring, and Debra Thornton.
