Situ is a serviced accommodation agency that provides temporary housing solutions for business travel and global mobility. Founded in 2008 by Phil Stapleton, the company supplies serviced apartments, houses, aparthotels to its clients worldwide.
Operations
Situ's headquarters are in Exeter, with further offices across the US and Singapore. The company's clientele consist of relocation management companies, travel management companies, and directly with businesses in various industries including oil, finance, media, IT, gas, and construction.
Situ operates as an intermediary, working with professional property managers to source housing on behalf of its clients.
The company also supports clients with in-house guest assistance through a 24/7 support team.
History
In 2008, ROOM-B LIMITED (previous company name of Situ) was founded by Phil Stapleton.
In 2016, the company rebranded and was renamed Situ.
In 2018, Clarity, 6th largest TMC in Europe, appointed Situ as housing partner.
In 2020, Situ appointed Yolanda Blomjous as Business Development Director.
Also in 2020, SITU LIVE launched to provide the largest network of instantly bookable properties in the marketplace.
In 2021, Situ disclosed a revenue forecast of £30 million, an increase of 50% from its pre-Covid figures.
In 2023, Phil Stapleton transitioned from the role of Managing Director into the position of Chief Executive Officer, with Rebecca Gonzaga stepping into the role of Managing Director.
Also in 2023, Situ acquired rental company, Rentivo, along with other channel and property management software: Siteminder, STAAH, Rentals United, Avantio, and Supercontrol.
Also in 2023, Situ released a white paper discussing the impact of legislation on short-term rental accommodation in 10 key global locations.
In 2024, Situ appointed Kristen Meglaughlin as Business Development Director for North America.
In 2025, Situ partnered with YouGov to produce a white paper, 'Mind the Gap: Generational analysis of the accommodation requirements and buying behaviours of today’s business travellers’.
In February 2026, Situ announced the creation of Situ Americas, Inc, a US-based office to support its North, Central, and Southern American clientele.
In April 2026, Situ announced the opening of its regional office, Situ APAC Pte. Ltd., located in Singapore, to serve the Asia-Pacific region.
