Siinamota

Siinamota (椎名もた), otherwise known as Mizoguchi Ryo (溝口遼; from Ishikawa March 9th 1995 – 23 July 2015), was a Japanese keyboardist, lyricist and composer. He is regarded as one of the most influental Vocaloid producers of all time and is most well known for Young Girl A.

Biography

His career of creating VOCALOID started from as early as 14 years of age, publishing his first album "Yume no Manimani".

His most notable work, Young Girl A, has racked up 150 million views on Youtube, reaching the centurial mark on the 24th of July, 2024, with Spotify reaching this 4 months earlier.

On the 23rd of July, he died at the age of 20 years old. It was never publicly disclosed of the cause, but it is suspected to be due to [...] due to depression.

His final work Please Give Me a Red Pen, publicly released the same day of his death. The title refers to the fact that in some Asian cultures, writing a name in red pen is seen as bad luck, due to deceased names being written in so.

Four years after his death (2019) his close friends released an album called Therefor, where he sings on some songs himself.

Young Girl A gained significant success in the 2020's, following it's resurgence on short-form video platforms such as TikTok and YouTube Shorts.
