Sigma alpha chi

Sigma Alpha Chi (ΣΑΧ) is a co-ed fraternity devoted to the development of the musical ability and personal character of Alto Saxophone Sections in Collegiate Marching Band across America. Founded as a group at West Chester University in 2006, it became a national fraternity with the admission of a group of altos at the University of Delaware as Sigma Alpha Chi's Beta Chapter. This organization seeks to develop in its members sociability and alto love. It should be mentioned again that this fraternity only supports alto love, due to extreme pressure by affirmative action supporters the fraternity will accept member of other saxophone persuasions, however this is very rare.

History

The Alpha chapter of Sigma Alpha Chi was founded at the West Chester University April of 2006. The group became an national fraternity with the admission of a group of Altos at the University of Delaware in October 2007.
