Siddharth Choudhary
Choudhary was born and raised in Samastipur, Bihar, in a family of academics. His mother is the head of the Department Of Botany at Samastipur Women's College, his father the head of the department of Instrumentation at Indian Institute of Technology. He is the graduate of St. Stephen's College, Delhi University with a B. Sc. in Chemistry.

Career
Although Choudhary initially set out to be a pilot, placing 8th in the national defense exam, he was ultimately unable to fly for The INDIAN Air Force due to medical reasons. He studies chemistry and after acceptance into National Institute of Fashion Technology nearly pursued a career in fashion design. Instead, he moved to Bombay and began work as a cameraman at NDTV for two years before he began acting. For a number of years he worked in a number of television commercials and serials before he landed the lead role in the series "Karma" aired during a prime time slot on Star Plus. Later, he went on to act alongside Shahrukh Khan in a film by Farhan Akhtar, Don - The Chase Begins Again.
It was only after the art department of Balaji Telefilms gave Choudhary some leftover art supplies that he began painting. It took Choudhary fifteen days to complete his first painting; a portrait of his wife. It is the only painting that has never been for sale.
Choudhary's first exhibit, "Her Moods & Moments" sold out within five days. It was there that he signed with prominent Mumbai art dealer, Ashish Balram Nagpal, who was also responsible for discovering a number of notable Indian artists such as Chintan Upadhyay, Nikhil Chaganlal and Baiju Parthan.
In the four years Choudhary has been painting, he has sold more than 70 paintings. His works are acrylic oil on canvas. Having no official artistic training, Choudhary prides his work on being free of restraints of esoteric theory.
He is currently working on a series that will make a socio-political statement on modern India. The collection will also include video installation.
