Shrine (rock band)

Shrine are an alternative rock/grunge band who started out practicing in houses in the 1990s but now in 2007 have made a comeback and are fairly well recognised in the bootleg and ammature band dimension.

Early On

In 1997 Iain Wood, ( vocals and bass guitar)Oliver Mcnab (Lead guitar), Anthony Merin (Bass and vocals) and various drummers started jamming and practising at each others houses. The band grew great enthusiasm for there exiting style which developed over a year or two's time. A demo tape was recorded in late 1998 but that tape was lost in mysterious circumstances. The band sadly disbanded after some of the band moved on in regular life and some mystery involving demo tapes and recordings but re grouped in 2006 with a new line up. The name Shrine remains a mystery as does much of the band who have rarely been photographed.
