Showpass is a Canadian ticketing and event management company headquartered in Calgary, Alberta. It provides software for venues, attractions, and organizers to sell and scan tickets and manage admissions. The company was founded by Lucas McCarthy and has partnered with organizations across Canada, including cultural and heritage attractions in Calgary.

History

Showpass began in 2014 as a virtual queuing service and shifted into ticketing by 2016, building integrations that allowed tickets to be purchased directly from search and social platforms. In January 2018, the company became a native ticketing option for Facebook events in Canada.

In September 2019, Showpass reported 83 percent year over year revenue growth, received mezzanine financing from BDC, and acquired Token Mobile Solutions to expand its product capabilities.

In April 2024, Showpass opened a new headquarters in Calgary measuring about 30,000 square feet to accommodate growth and collaborative workspaces. In 2025, the firm named longtime ticketing executive Brian Arnone as chief strategy officer.

Showpass is based at Portland Place, 2600 Portland Street SE, Calgary, with space listed at Suite 2030. Commercial listings describe Portland Place as an industrial and office complex in the Ogden industrial area.

The 2024 headquarters fit-out added collaborative rooms, fitness amenities, and a large atrium intended for company events.

Products and services

Showpass develops software for online ticket sales, admissions management, mobile scanning, and analytics used by venues and event organizers. The platform has supported social and search commerce features and integrations, including a native ticketing option on Facebook in 2018.
