ShipRush
ShipRush is integrated shipping software that pulls address information from ecommerce systems, as well as from various contact managers and accounting systems. ShipRush is used to print shipping labels for Federal Express the United States Postal Service and UPS United Parcel Service.
ShipRush was first released in 2000 by Z-Firm LLC, a Seattle-based software firm. The initial ShipRush offered FedEx shipping integrated with contact managers such as ACT!, Microsoft Outlook & GoldMine. Over the next few years ShipRush expanded to integrate with accounting, point of sale, and ecommerce systems. In 2009 the My.ShipRush web portal launched, hybridizing the platform into a BLEND of cloud and desktop technologies.
ShipRush Versions for End Users
ShipRush FedEx is available for integration with ecommerce, accounting and other business systems. ShipRush FedEx for ecommerce is offered at no cost to end users due to an annual contract between Z-Firm LLC and Fedex. This includes an integration with eBay, Amazon.com, Google Checkout, Yahoo! and PayPal.
ShipRush for the U.S. Postal Service: This free of charge version of ShipRush integrates with ecommerce, accounting and other business systems. It prints delivery confirmation shipping labels. Postage needs to be applied using a postage meter, stamps, or some other tool.
ShipRush Endicia: In collaboration with Endicia, this version of ShipRush prints shipping labels with postage for use with the U.S. Postal Service. It integrates with ecommerce, accounting and other business systems. This version requires a paid account with Endicia.
ShipRush UPS: Integrated with accounting and contact managers, ShipRush UPS is available from Z-Firm. There is an annual charge to use ShipRush UPS.
DHL ShipRush was available made available to DHL customers at no charge in 2006, 2007 and 2008, but was discontinued by DHL when they withdrew from the U.S. market.
ShipRush Versions for Developers
The ShipRush SDK is a developer tool kit. The kit includes visual and non visual components for shipping and an embedded server for shipping.
The ShipRush Browser Plugin is a tool for web developers to embed ShipRush into browser based applications for ecommerce and order management systems.
