Sherwood Village Mall
Sherwood Village Mall is a former enclosed shopping centre located in the northwest corner of Regina, Saskatchewan. Located at the corner of Rochdale & McCarthy Boulevards across from Michael A. Riffel High School. The mall was operated by the Sherwood Co-Op prior to 2008, when it was sold to Avison Young. The mall has a Sherwood Co-Op Marketplace store, a Shoppers [...] Mart, an M & M Meat Shops and a Thunderbird Travel. The mall is notorious for its incredibly high vacancy rate. Interest in the mall declined dramatically following the addition of the power centre on the east end of Rochdale Boulevard in the early 2000's. In 2006, the YMCA opened up a facility in the standalone building that once held a SAAN store, giving residents of Northwest Regina a recreational facility. Plans are to convert the mall from an enclosed shopping centre into that of a strip mall similar to that of the Normanview Crossing Mall, located south on McCarthy Boulevard at 9th Avenue North and rename it "Rochdale Crossing".
