Shawn Crowe
Shawn Crowe (born February 3, 1984) is an American soccer goalkeeper, who is currently is currently without a club, having been waived by D.C. United of Major League Soccer.
Career
Professional
D.C. united selected Crowe in the first round (11th overall) of the 2007 MLS Supplemental Draft on January 18, 2007. In early September 2007, Crowe underwent surgery to repair a torn meniscus.
College
Crowe played college soccer at Florida International University, starting all 12 games he appeared in during his senior year and posting a goals-against-average of 1.04. He finished the year with a 4-5-2 record and two shutouts, having earned Conference USA Defensive Player of the Week for his play in the FIU Golden Panthers opening game of the season.
2005: During his junior season at Florida International University, Crowe started 14 games and posted four shutouts - second most in the Atlantic Soccer Conference. In conference games only, he was tied for the most shutouts per game and ranked in the Top Five in save percentage.
2004: Crowe quickly made himself a name coming off a redshirt medical season in 2003 with 17 starts and recording over 1508 minutes in the net. He earned Second Team All-ASC, two ASC Goalkeeper of the Week honors and was named to the Carolina Nike Classic All-Tournament Team.
2002: In his freshman year, Crowe appeared in 6 games (4 starts) and posted a 1.25 goals-against-average and .762 save percentage in 360 minutes of play. Crowe was rewarded the starting job heading into the NCAA tournament.
