Shari O'Donnell

Shari O'Donnell (born 1 May 1984) is an Irish actor known for playing Anna daughter of F. A. Mitchell-Hedges in The Lost World of the Crystal Skull.

Since The Lost World of the Crystal Skull O'Donnell has played U.S. President Barak Obama's 4-great grandmother Phoebe Donovan in Obama's Irish Roots.

O'Donnell was born in Rathfarnham, County Dublin, Ireland, the fifth of seven children to Paul and Noreen O'Donnell. After dancing her way to success in talent competitions nationwide, Shari attended the School of English, Drama & Film at University College Dublin. Later she transferred to The Abbey School of Music and Drama and went from strength to strength as her abilities in theatre and film developed and matured. She landed the role of Lady Macbeth in the Abbey Theatre's production of Macbeth and played Juliet in the Abbey Theatre's production of Romeo and Juliet. Shari's film acting career began in the film I Can't Get Back which opened the door to opportunities on the big screen. The Lost World of the Crystal Skull closely followed by Obama's Irish Roots increased Shari’s worldwide recognition, paving the way to her next role of Meena in the Moonman Dracula film series.

Shari is an accomplished fencer and has competed in a number of tournaments throughout Europe for which she has won several medals. Shari relaxes by horseback-riding, kite boarding, traveling and spending time out with friends. She also enjoys classical and alternative pop music such as Adele.

It was revealed by producer Gabriel Murray on a special feature of the The Lost World of the Crystal Skull DVD that Shari had the record for dropping the most number of prop crystal skulls during the course of the film -- five in total.

Shari currently resides in West Hollywood, California.
