Sharan Kumar

Sharan Kumar is an Indian sports journalist. He received several journalist awards for excellence and was also given the State award for sports promotion.

Kumar covered World Cup Cricket and the Asian Games. He has been a prolific writer on horse racing in India, and is a founder editor of indiarace.com and is currently the editor of racingpulse.in. He worked in major newspapers like Deccan Herald and Indian Express where he headed headed the sports department. He also wrote a column on horse racing in Asian Age for a few years. He has also contributed articles for papers like DNA. Kumar is also the India Correspondent for European Bloodstock News, UK. He was the President of Sports Writers Associaiton of Bangalore and was also an office-bearer of Sports Journalists Federation of India. He was also the General Secretary of the Press Club of Bangalore for a number of years.
