==Career==

Shaira live in [[Las Pinas City]]. When she first auditioned for TV5’s [[Artista Academy]] last year, Shaira Mae de la Cruz admitted that she didn’t leave a good first impression.

In fact, the 18-year old only became one of the 16 finalists in the reality talent show when Wilma Galvante — one of the show’s proponents who had decades of experience in discovering and honing talents – decided to give her a chance.

Galvante’s instincts proved correct as Shaira did not disappoint, making it as far as the Magic 6. She was even on pace to win it all until her tardiness during a rehearsal ultimately doomed her chances.
