Serge Bellemare

Serge Bellemare (born 1947 in Shawinigan, Quebec) helped form the Quebecois branch of the Green Party of Canada during the 1980s. In 1989, he was a nominee of the Green Party in the provincial elections in the Sainte-Anne district. Bellemare was also a candidate for the Greens in Montcalm in 2004 and in LaSalle-Émard in 2006. During his high-school teaching career at LaSalle Comprehensive High School he hung greenpeace posters around the classroom and taught students to sing in many different languages. He also enjoyed selling organic ginger-ale for $2 a can. Mot-caches are one of his pastimes.
