Sepuko 6
Sepuko 6 are an alternative rock band from Bulgaria. They formed in 2002, but it wasn't until 2005 that they released their first long-playing record "Opitomen".
History
It all started in the beginning of 2002 when Vesselin Tchipilov a.k.a. Axl (bass) and Georgi Jefferski (guitar) decided to leave their band at that time, Fyeld. A bit later they were joined by Angel Vassilev a.k.a. Vylkovitchin (drums). During the next months the three were desperately looking for a vocalist, and working on their own music as well. However, as they couldn't find a frontman to suit them well, Angel decided to leave Bulgaria for a while, Axl returned to Fyeld, while Georgi joined the psycho alternative lunatics Kuln...
...until November 2002, when the four got together again. Yes, the four, as the three above mentioned musicians had finally succeeded in finding a vocalist Angel Kasparyanov. Actually, he was the one to find them he just saw an ad at the wall of a music store in Bulgaria's capital Sofia, the guys hometown. It turned out that all of them shared one and the same love for music, so after just a few months work and dozens of drinks and mornings after... the quartet presented its songs live for the first time. Back then, in the beginning of 2003, the group was still called Absent, and had composed 7 songs, including a tune called Sublimation...
In the summer of 2003 the band decided to rename to Sepuko 6 and recorded a 3-song demo. Plenty of club shows and local festival appearances followed, and in the end of the year the four entered Stain Studio in Sofia and laid down 5 more demo tracks. Geppy, owner and manager of the facility just mentioned, liked the music and offered Sepuko 6 a record deal. The work on the groups debut CD started in March 2004 and was completed 3 months later. Meanwhile, in May 2005, Stain Studio produced the quartet's first video as well. It was for the track Dushcomfort off Sepuko 6's firstborn full-length offering Opitomen (meaning Tamed in Bulgarian). The video was directed by Geppy, and was shot with 4 HDV cameras handled by Stain Studios cameramen.
In the very end of 2005 Sepuko 6 created a video for another song off Opitomen, namely Sublimation, and a few weeks later the guys entered Stain Studio again and recorded demo versions for 10 brand-new songs destined to be included in the quartets second album.
In 2006 Sepuko 6 began to work over their second LP. The first single of the still-unnamed album was launched in Bulgarian radio and TV in the autumn. The single is named De Niro e [...] (De Niro is someone other). The group worked with the MusicAL producer Kliment Kalev from Stain Studio over the single. Its premiere was on the One Day Overground festival in Sofia on 2nd October 2006.
In 2007 Speuko 6 was released form their contract with Stain Studios. In the next few months they've played some of their new songs on live shows. In summer of 2007 they began working over their New album.
