Second Battle Name
The Battle of the Seaside Spawn was a catastrophic military engagement fought along the coastal docks and beachfronts of Old Town. Characterized by a massive, surprise amphibious assault by the Locust Horde, the battle resulted in a crushing Locust victory that shattered the COG's southern naval defensive line.
The defensive operation was rapidly thrown together under the joint command of corporate tycoon Aaron Griffin, Sergeant Marcus Fenix, and Corporal Samantha Byrne, alongside civilian-clothed administrator Anya Stroud, who worked desperately to evacuate non-combatants from the docks. Despite a fierce defense mounted by the Gears and Griffin's local Stranded militia, they were utterly overwhelmed by a masterfully coordinated Locust vanguard.
The Horde's assault was orchestrated by a lethal council of five distinct commanders: a terrifying High Kantus channeling the collective hive mind, a heavily armored Golden Miner spearheading the beachhead breach, a tactical Spotter directing mortar fire from the cliffs, a frontline Grenadier Elite, and a combat Miner digging bypass tunnels underneath the COG trenches.
The COG forces were caught in a brutal crossfire between the sea and emerging subterranean holes. Under intense psychological pressure from the Kantus' screams and devastating heavy artillery, the COG lines collapsed. With over half of the garrison wiped out and the beachhead completely lost, Sergeant Fenix was forced to order a total tactical retreat, leaving the Seaside Spawn entirely in the hands of the victorious Locust Horde.
