Scott Seale

Scott Seale is an American jewelry designer and founder of Rask Fine Jewelry, owner and CEO of MAX Clothing Stores based in Denver, Boulder and Aspen, Colorado, an entrepreneur and philanthropist. He is a former columnist at The Denver Post.

Early life

Seale was born in 1969 in the San Francisco Bay Area and raised in South Lake Tahoe and Denver, Colorado with a rigidly structured Catholic school upbringing. He left home at the age of 15 to begin working in business.

Career

Seale launched Rask Fine Jewelry in January 2005 in Aspen, Colorado. His work with MAX Clothing Stores commenced in October, 1999. He landed distribution deals with Céline, Bottega Veneta, Calvin Klein, Chloé, Dries Van Noten, Haider Ackermann, Prada, Stella McCartney and Yves St. Laurent. Rask Jewelry has accessorized celebrities including Uma Thurman, Kate Hudson, Dakota Johnson, Melanie Griffith, Eva Longoria, Alanis Morissette and Leann Rimes. Seale has been associated with co-owner Max Martinez for 32 years. He is best known for creating modern collectible jewelry and for bringing high fashion designer collections to Colorado including Dries Van Noten, Céline, Bottega Veneta, Prada, Yves St. Laurent and Calvin Klein. In 2011, Seale brought Diane von Furstenberg to Denver for a sold-out event that raised over $300,000 for Children's Hospital Colorado Foundation. It was the first time DVF had taken her collection on the road to partner with a specialty boutique for a fashion show. In 2012, the MAX Fashion Show brought Maria Cornejo’s designs to Denver to raise funds for The Cystic Fibrosis Center at Children’s Hospital Colorado.
