Scott Hudson (announcer)

Scott Hudson (born September 21, 1964 in Tifton, Georgia) is a professional wrestling play-by-play announcer as well as a backstage interviewer.

Profile

Hudson grew up a fan of professional wrestling and later got the opportunity to enter the business side of the sport in 1990 for the Dallas, Texas-based Global Wrestling Federation.

Most of his work with World Championship Wrestling took place on WCW Saturday Night, alongside Mike Tenay and Lee Marshall. However, along with Tony Schiavone, Hudson also received the privilege of announcing on the final EDition of WCW Monday Nitro on March 26, 2001. Soon after, he would once again announce beside Arn Anderson during the WCW main event match during an edition of WWF RAW.

Hudson would go on to work with a new wrestling promotion known as Total Nonstop Action Wrestling, continuing his announcer role and interviewing the performers.

He has also worked for many smaller promotions, most notably Vince Russo's Ring Of Glory Christian Wrestling promotion/ministry (2005-2006).

In June 2001, Hudson turned down a full-time position with the World Wrestling Federation, as he would have had to quit his day job in Georgia. Still, he agreed to do two weeks of announcing with Arn Anderson to get the "WCW Invasion" storyline over (July 2, 2001 and July 9, 2001).
