Little 500
Hampton has competed four times in the historic Little 500 at Anderson Speedway. Driving for car owner Jerry Powell, Hampton was plagued by mechanical issues in his first three attempts, until 2017, where issues on pit road put him several laps down despite running with the leaders throughout the race. Earlier in the week, he had run third quick in practice, and his qualifying run was hampered by a slow first lap.
