Sayed Kaseb
Sayed Kaseb has been a staff member in, Faculty of Engineering, Cairo University since 1994, and has served as the Consultant of Cairo University President since 2006, Manager of Pathways to Higher Education-Egypt, since 2004, Manager of Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency for the MENA Region Master program, since 2008, and Member of the supreme council of Journal of Advanced Research (JAR), Cairo University, since 2008. He worked in many international projects in cooperation with Germany, Italy, UK, Greece, France, UN, and USA as well as other national projects.
Awards
His research interests have focused on renewable energy and energy efficiency, He gets many scientific awards such as “Distinction in Post-Graduate Studies”, CAPSCU Annual Prize, 1996 and 2001 as well as "International Publications Award", Cairo University, 2007 and 2009.
Accomplishments
In his engineering profession capacity, he worked as a consultant for more than 50 consultations, research and projects for different sectors in the Egyptian society, and 45 technical, financial and economical evaluations for National Bank of Egypt (the biggest bank in Egypt).
His professional experience extended to cover higher education development, ranking of world universities, educational/training activates, engineering economics and management-coordinating of the national and international projects.
For more than fifteen years, Dr. Kaseb has published 29 scientific papers, participated in 16 conferences and 30 seminars/workshops. In the past five years, he participated in establishing 9 skills developments laboratory in different Egyptian universities, also, he was the author/co-author of 9 different books untitled "Graduation project directory", "Spotlights on the current issues", "Small projects: opportunities and challenges", "Risk assessment and risk management", "Pathways Poets … Our Divan", "Principals of Managerial Economics", "General lecture directory", "Principles of Engineering Economy", and "Principles of electronics cooling", the last three is in English language while the other in Arabic.
Among the projects funded by FF, Dr. Kaseb acted as the Manager of the project “Pathways to Higher Education” (PHE) in partnership with the Future Generation Foundation (FGF), the National Council for Women (NCW), Social Development Fund (SDF), and 10 Egyptian Universities, since 2004.
