Saw games

The Saw games are the games set up by a man called by the media as "Jigsaw", in the popular movies Saw and Saw II.

Spoiler Warning: plot and/or ending details are depicted below.

These Games are from the movies, Saw, Saw II and the soon arriving Saw III. These are not actual events.

Saw

Choice game

Dr. Gordon had to decide to kill the man opposite him in a dirty bathroom by absorbing poisoned blood and letting him smoke it, or his wife and children would die. This game was his punishment for having to tell the bad news, his bad news is to kill or cause a death.

Escape game

Adam simply has to survive. He wakes up in a half-filled bathtub with a key floating in it, the plug tied to his arm. Once getting out of the bathtub, the key was sucked into the drain. Dr. Gordon was forced to try and kill him or his family would die, Adam just had to survive. His game is punishment for chain smoking, as Gordon could also poison a cigarette with the pool of blood.

Wire Line

An obese man had to cut himself exceedingly deeply to get to a door that would lock permanently at a certain time. He died attempting to escape.

Glass, gel, candle and poison

A man was covered in flammable gel in a room with crushed glass on the floor. On his tape, it was explained that a poison was coursing through his veins, and the antidote was in a safe. The combination was found on the walls, but could only be seen by candle light. He ignited during the process and died.

Reverse beartrap

Amanda wakes up in a chair with a device on her head. The tape explains that the device is a "reverse beartrap", which would rip her head open at the jaw and rip it off. If she doesn't escape by sunset, it would go off. Once a spring timer is activated by moving, she has 60 seconds to unlock the device. The key is in the stomach of her cell mate, who she was told to be dead. She stands up, the spring timer going off. She finds a pocket knife sitting next to the cell mate and cuts his stomach open. She unlocks the device, and almost immediately after it hits the floor it goes off. The cellmate was revealed to still be alive during the game, and presumably dies sometime later. She was put in this game because of a [...] addiction.

Jigsaw game

Zep was forced to conduct Dr. Gordon's game, as a poison was in his veins and the only who had the antidote was Jigsaw. If Gordon failed to kill Adam by 6:00, Zep had to kill Mrs. Gordon and their child. Zep was killed by Adam.

Saw II

Death Mask game

A detective had a device around his neck like two halves of a mask with hundreds of nails in it that would shut on a spring timer activated by moving far from the starting distance. He activated the timer and notices a toolbox, inside it a scalpel. He sees X-ray photographs, as well as flashing scenes on his video, that confirm that the key to the device is behind his eye. He cannot cut his eye open, and dies when The Two halves of the mask collide over his head. He received this game as punishment for being a police informant.

House game - Part 1

This game involves the most people, most planning, and most deceptive ploy of all. This game put Xavier, Amanda from Saw, Daniel, Obi, an unnamed man, a barely mentioned hooker, and a young woman. In the tape, it was told that they all have a poison that they've been inhaling since they entered the house and they had two hours to live. The door to the house would unlock in three, and antidotes for everyone was found throughout the house.

Safe game

One of the antidotes was in the safe of the room they woke up in, and the combinations were found "in the back of their minds". Xavier figured out accidentally that each number was found on the back of everyone's necks. Xavier died by being sliced in the neck by Daniel just after slicing off the skin on the back of his neck to find out the number on the back of his own head.

Stove game

Obi, who was a con artist or possibly an arsonist, had to climb into a giant stove to get two antidotes, one for him and one for SomeOne else. The First One was easy to attain, the second shut the stove door and ignited it. He was told in his tape that "Once in Hell, only the devil can help you out", the gas valve inside the stove marked with a devil. He died of severe burns to the bottom half of his stomach. He assisted "Jigsaw" in kidnapping the victims, which was why he got one antidote.

Syringe game

The game designed for Xavier. He had to go into a giant hole filled with syringes and find a key to a door that opened for an antidote that would lock in three minutes. He dropped Amanda in the hole, she found the key with five seconds to spare and Xavier dropped the key, unlocking it half a second too late.

Chinese blade trap game

Discoverd by Addison, a glass box suspended from the ceiling that contains an antidote. On the underside of the box are two holes just wide enough to put an arm through each, once pushed past the blades covering them. She discovers too late that the blades are arranged similar to a Chinese finger trap, preventing her from removing her arms once inside; the metal edges dig deeper into her flesh the harder she pulls. Addison eventually bleeds to death, her corpse is later discovered by a a crazed Xavier, who slices off the colored number on her neck.

Talking game

This was one of only two games in Saw II to not take place in the house. In this one, officer Erick Matthews must keep talking to Johnathan ("Jigsaw") until he finds his son is safe. He grows impatient, and forces John to take him to the house. He lost the game, when the timer ran out a safe opened revealing Daniel in it with an oxygen mask, pointing to an assumption that something had been given to him that would stop him from talking or yelling.

House game - part 2

Before the end of the movie, the techies finally got to Jigsaw's hideout and found the signal linked to the monitors in the room. At the same time, John and Erick were heading to the house. Erick went inside the house, after John giving him a key. Erick searched the house, eventually leading him to the bathroom where Zep, Adam, and Xavier died, also with the remains of David Gordons foot. He look into the bathtub (never knowing where Daniel really is) where the "Pig Creature" (person dressed in a red dress, black hair, and pig face) dopes him and chains him up. Meanwhile, the techies reach the source of the signal, they find a low-tech relay station, playing a tape of the House Game. It was found out that the House Game took place before, possibly a few days or a week, the Death Mask game. Erick wakes up, when Pig Creature takes off the mask and reveals Amanda.

Saw III

This article will be finished after the release of Saw III, which is expected to be in October.
