Sascha Fonseca

Sascha Fonseca is a German wildlife photographer. He uses DSLR and mirrorless camera traps to document elusive species in remote and extreme habitats.
He has been interviewed and profiled by several publications, including features in Süddeutsche Zeitung in 2025,Condé Nast Traveller India for his snow leopard project in Ladakh,“
Fonseca has contributed photography tutorials to Nature TTL, where he shares behind-the-scenes insights into remote camera trap work.
Exhibitions and publications
Fonseca’s work has been exhibited at the Xposure International Photography Festival (2025) and the 2nd International Tiger Conservation Forum (2022)
He has contributed to books and editorial features, including The New Big Five, (2022) Remembering Leopards (2022), Remembering Tigers (2023), Big Cat Magazine (2025).
Conservation work
Fonseca collaborates with conservation organizations, including the Snow Leopard Trust, the World Wildlife Fund, and the Amur Tiger Center, through image donations and joint projects.
