Sarah McSweeney

Sarah McSweeney (born June 30, 1988), also known as Sarah “Sweet Sixteen” McSweeney, is a model and was born in New York City on June 30, 1988. She lived in the city until she was ten years old when her family moved to Newtown, Connecticut, but she moved back to NYC when she turned sixteen. Once back in the city, Sarah was the door girl at La Esquina restaurant in New York City and worked there until being scouted one day while tying her shoe on Mott Street. She began with Marilyn Model Agency as a model at age eighteen and has been involved with NEXT Model Management, and Chic Management at various points in her modeling career.
Projects with Married to the MOB
As the younger sister of Leah McSweeney, Sarah has been featured in many Married to the MOB clothing campaigns and promotions. Her involvement includes modeling for the MOB and Kangol partnership for their colored cashmere ‘beanie’ in December 2007. The Fall 2006 used Sarah to model MOB tees, sweatshirts, and other gear. In fall 2008, Sarah modeled for MOB again and wore the new collection, including a MOB, Colette, and Reebok sneaker collaboration. Her contribution to MOB’s Summer 2009 collection featured her in an outdoor, rural setting with a range of Married to the MOB products.
Other runway and print projects
Sarah has taken her career to the runway and walked in Kai Kuhne’s Spring 2007 Ready to Wear collection. The Project Runway finale, where Jeffrey Sebelia showed his collection in Spring 2007, featured Sarah on the catwalk wearing his green striped blazer and embellished top creations. Sarah has also been on the cover of Preen Magazine in its April/May 2007 issue and in a black and white editorial spread called “Pop Charts”. She can also be been on the cover of Clin d’Oeil and has done work with Urban Outfitters online and in catalogue print. Sarah was also used in a Levi Strauss & Co ad campaign.
