Sand fountain

Originally from Wikipedia · Preserved by Wikibin

Currently the source of this phenomenon is unknown but suspected to be related to high-pressure natural gas deposits rupturing far below ground and upwelling through fisures in the bedrock to produce the fountain. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iDhjQZx08Qc
