Samit Garg (businessman)
Samit Garg (born 11 October 1971) is an Indian businessman in the events and tourism industries. He is the co-founder and managing Director of E-Factor Experiences Ltd. And Co-founded Skywaltz Balloon Safari, a commercial hot-air ballooning venture in India.
Early life and education
Garg was born in Lucknow, India. He completed a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Lucknow and an MBA from the Jaipuria Institute of Management. He also attended the INSEAD International Leadership Program for Senior Executives.
Career
In 2003, Garg co-founded E-Factor Experiences Ltd. with his wife Manika, and Jai and Sonali Thakore. The company began as a wedding planning service and later expanded into the experiential industry, working on government and public events, multimedia productions, and cultural installations. The company became publicly listed in October 2023.
In 2008, he co-founded Skywaltz Balloon Safari, which operates hot-air balloon flights in several Indian states and has been recognized by the Ministry of Tourism.
He has been affiliated with professional organizations, including the Events and Entertainment Management Association (EEMA). In 2024, he was appointed to the World Experience Council, a body associated with the World Experience Organization, and was a member of the international jury for the Bea World Festival, an industry event focusing on the global experience and event sectors.
Garg has worked with central and state government bodies on heritage tourism initiatives. He has also served on consulting and advisory councils related to the event management sector, where he has participated in policy discussions representing industry stakeholders.
