Saif Ali Naqvi

Saif Ali Naqvi is a Social activist and member of The INDIAN National Congress (I) since 14th March 2006. He is also a Member of Indian Youth Congress.

Biography

Early life

Saif is a member of the Naqvi family of lakhimpur. He has been an activist since his university days. He has participated in numerous demonstrations and has been associated with various NGOS namely CASP PLAN , AANCHAL , Prayas where he has worked for the cause of the underprivileged. He has been a crusader for the cause of Refugees and has been associated with UNITED NATIONS HIGH COMMISIONER FOR REFUGEES.He has led the election campaign of Lucknow West for Youth Congress in the bielections of 2009 . He was instrumental in shaping a memorable win for his father in 2009 Parliament election from Lakhimpur Khiri.

Education and Early Career

Saif Ali Naqvi attended Institute of Management Technology, Ghaziabad and is holding PGDBM in Marketing. He did his Bachelor in Arts (Hons) in Social Work from Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi and did his schooling from Delhi Public School (RK Puram).

Working as an Intern at UNITED NATIONS HIGH COMMISIONER FOR REFUGEES changed his outlook towards life.

Saif Ali Naqvi worked as a Award winning Sales Manager with Met-Life and Branch Manager with Citi Financials across New Delhi and Lucknow.

Political career

Saif has been instrumental in leading the youth congress campaign for Lucknow West ByPolls in 2009. He led the campaign and strategised the 2009 Parliament elections which his father won from Lakhimpur Khiri. Saif took the challenge of contesting Assembly Midterm Polls from Lakhimpur Khiri at 29 years from INDIAN NATIONAL CONGRESS in 2010. He is a planner and a man of action for the people of Lakhimpur.

Personal life

Saif Ali Naqvi is son of Zafar Ali Naqvi, an Indian politician and member of the Parliament of India, representing the Lakhimpur Kheri constituency.He is married to Sana Aziz the grand daughter of Nawab of Ghaziabad. Saif has 4 year old son Ibrahim Ali Naqvi
