Ryan's Rock Show

Ryan's Rock Show is a music/talk radio program based in Los Angeles, CA. The show is hosted by radio personality Ryan Minic, and is broadcasted online.

The radio show was formed in February 2007. It was created by Minic after an ex-girlfriend encouraged him to get involved in producing a radio show. She had given him some money to get it affiliated with KCLA, Los Angeles, with the original idea to feature local Los Angeles artists, actors, comedians, and entertainers.

In March 2007, Ryan's Rock Show began airing with Minic and a co-host. "I had a co-host, worked with local LA bands, and the show aired on a small radio station in Hollywood. My co-host scared away a lot of people, and it got to be too much. He'd call the guests "douche bags" repetitively, made weird animal noises on-air, and would pretty much piss off the bands," explains Minic.

Ryan's Rock Show aired seven shows on KCLA-FM that featured local Los Angeles acts.

Two months after the first show aired, Minic began reformatting the show. "I had a vision of what I wanted the show to be, so I ditched [the co-host] to do my own thing. Once he was gone I started calling record labels, publicists, managers, and tried to get their bands on my show," stated Minic.

In July 2007, the show aired its first program featuring a national touring artist with Doghouse Records band Paulson.

Since the show began featuring established artists, it has featured As I Lay Dying, Kittie, Cradle of Filth, Gwar, The Fall of Troy, amongst others.
