Russia – San Marino relations

Russian-Sammarinese relations are the bilateral relations between the two countries, Russia and San Marino. Russia is represented in San Marino through its embassy in Rome (Italy). San Marino is represented in Russia through its embassy in Vienna (Austria) and an honorary consulate in Moscow.

Both countries are full members of the Council of Europe, the International Court of Justice, the International Monetary Fund, the Organization for Security And Co-operation in Europe, the UNESCO, the United Nations, and the World Health Organization.

Bilateral relations

September 30 marks the tenth anniversary of the establishment of the Russian Federation and the Republic of San Marino flagship relations at the ambassadorial level. In this connection, an exchange of congratulatory messages between the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Igor Ivanov and Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs of the Republic of San Marino F. Stolfi. In turn, F. Stolfi expressed satisfaction with the continued deepening feelings of friendship and mutual understanding, which characterize the mutually beneficial Russian-Sammarinese relationship. But he stressed that the recently established in Moscow, the honorary Consul of San Marino will open new opportunities for further expansion of exchanges between the two countries in various fields.
