Ruhrpumpen

Ruhrpumpen is a company involved in the manufacture of centrifugal pumps whose main markets are petrochemical, mining, industrial, power, chemicals and waste water prevention.

At the present day Ruhrpumpen has manufacturing facilities, sales offices and service centers located in Germany, Mexico, USA, Egypt, Argentina, Brazil, India, Russia, Canada, Colombia and Chile.

History

Ruhrpumpen GmbH

Originally, Ruhrpumpen began as a company by the name of Ruhrpumpen Wende & Hentsche GmbH, founded after the Second World War period in 1950. In the following years the company was acquired by Ruhrstahlwerke AG in 1955 that a year later would be associated with Rheinische Stahlwerke. From that time, the company began operating under the name Ruhrpumpen GmbH and started the pumps production.

Tyssen

After a few years, Ruhrpumpen GmbH merged with Thyssen AG a global company, from then on Ruhrpumpen was part of Thyssen Industries AG and become known all over the world. After two decades working together, Thyssen decided to withdraw from the pump business and other products and Ruhrpumpen was to have ended.

Corporacion EG

Corporación EG

An entrepreneur man, a head of Corporación EG (family Organization in México) decided with his Canadian financial partners (Derlan Industries) to buy the company in 1997. In 2001 Corporación EG and Derlan Industries took over a production site in Tulsa/Oklahoma (USA) to serve the North America market, and together founded: Ruhrpumpen Inc. Nowadays the holding company is Corporación EG, S.A. a family business focused on centrifugal pumps. Ruhrpumpen has manufacturing facilities and service centers located in Germany, USA, Canada, Mexico, Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, Chile, Egypt and India.

1950 Ruhrpumpen GmbH was founded under the name Ruhrpumpen GmbH Wende & Hentschel

1955 The firm was acquired by the company Ruhrstahlwerke AG and was trading under the name Ruhrpumpen GmbH

1957 Ruhrpumpen GmbH started the production of process pumps under the license of PACIFIC; San Francisco

1963 The company belongs to the combine Rheinstahl Hüttenwerke AG within the company Rheinische Stahlwerke.

1974 Thyssen group acquired the company Rheinstahl Hüttenwerke AG

1997 Purchase of Ruhrpumpen GmbH from the Thyssen Group by Corporacion EG. Facilities, pump lines and knowhow are property of RUHRPUMPEN GmbH

1999 Acquisition of Barnes de Colombia and Nassa Johnston, Vertical Turbine Pump manufacturer located in Celaya, Guanajuato México

2000 Corporacion EG purchases the facility of Flowserve Tulsa and a manufacturing range of pumps from the Flowserve Group. The former Flowserve Pump factory became part of Corporacion EG and operates under the name Ruhrpumpen Inc.

2010 New factory of Ruhrpumpen in Orland, California

2011 Tigerflow acquisition
