R.P. Eddy is the Chief Executive Officer of ERGO, a New York based primary consultancy which, "collects and distills knowledge from a network of frontline specialists and in-country teams" and "crafts custom solutions directly from their insights." R.P. Eddy graduated from Brown University with a B.Sc. in Neuroscience.

Career

Northern Gulf Partners

Eddy is a Founding Partner of Northern Gulf Partners (NGP), a merchant bank focused exclusively in Iraq. He has been on the NGP advisory board since its inception in January 2008.

National Security Council Director of Counterterrorism

Eddy served as the Director of Counterterrorism at the White House National Security Council from 1994 through 1996 under President Bill Clinton and as a senior advisor for intelligence and counterterrorism to the secretary of energy. Eddy was also the Chief of Staff to the US Ambassador to the UN, Richard Holbrooke.

Center for Policing [...]

Eddy helped create the Center for Policing [...], which advised the New York Police Department (NYPD) Counter [...] Bureau after 9/11.

United Nations

Eddy last served as a Senior Policy Advisor to the United Nations Secretary-General, Kofi Annan. There, he helped lead initiatives to mobilize an international response to the HIV/AIDS pandemic.

Monitor Group

At the Monitor Group, Eddy was a Case Team Leader from 2002 through 2004. There, he led the development strategy for the Club of Madrid, A group of 45 world presidents dedicated to promoting democracy, helped create AIDS vaccine rollout strategies for a global pharmaceutical firm, and was a guide to a multi-industry coalition to revamp the US 9-1-1 phone system.

Gearson Lehrman Group (GLG)

Eddy joined Gearson Lehrman Group (GLG) in 2004. There, he built a division of the company which helped corporates and institutional investors make decisions on international risk and served as the Vice President of Legal, Economic, and Regulatory Affairs until 2004 and Managing Director of Information Services until 2007.

Ergo

In 2006, Eddy along with a few of his colleagues, formed Ergo.

Eddy has been a member of the Council of Foreign Relations for a number of years. On September 8, 2006, he spoke with Richard K. The Center for Tactical Counterterrorism (CTCT), the NYPD's Counterterrorism think tank, was founded by Eddy in 2003. He remained the Executive Director of the CTCT until 2006 when it was reorganized into the Center for Policing [...].
