Royal-Treatment
Royal-Treatment is a rapper who got his start in Thunder Bay, Ontario, Canada. He performed over 70 shows while based in the Thunder Bay hip hop scene, won numerous MC battles And Co-hosted CILU's top rated radio show, Tha Realness, for two years. In December 2003, Royal-Treatment released his debut hip hop album, Weirdo Music for Elitist Aliens. The album was recorded at Revolution Music Canada's studio and was distributed internationally, receiving Critical Acclaim in magazines and websites all over the world. Exclaim! stated that "Royal-T’s first legit release, Weirdo Music for Elitist Aliens, reveals the most potential of this newest generation of Canadian rappers."
Along with building a fan base throughout Canada and the United States through touring, word of mouth, radio play and collaborations with some of both country's top beat producers, Royal-Treatment has even reached the frigid shores of Sweden with an extending fan base thanks to being a featured artist on the country's #1 hip hop website.
Royal Treatment has been based in Winnipeg, Manitoba for roughly two years where he has been recording with Deepcave Records where he has collaborated with rappers and producers from New York to LA.
Royal-Treatment has appeared on live bills with the likes of Masta Ace (New York), Souls Of Mischief (Oakland), Aceyalone (LA), Wordsworth (New York), Awol One (LA), Non Phixion (New York), Josh Martinez (Vancouver), DJ Moves (Vancouver), Bukue One (LA), Symmetry (New York), Busdriver (LA), The Dope Poet Society (Toronto), and Classified (Halifax), just to name a few.
Along with continuing to tour all over North America, Royal-Treatment is planning to release a second full-length disc in 2006 produced by renowned producer DJ Kutdown (who recently performed on the Vans Warped Tour). Royal-Treatment is also scheduled to appear on Big Bear's second release which will also feature Awol One (LA) and Wordsworth (New York).
