RooBrew is an American beer company founded in 2007 by several people in Akron, Ohio, USA. The beer is brewed under contract by the Thirsty Dog Brewing Company, also located in Akron, Ohio. The brand is known for its distinctive kangaroo logo and yellow text on a blue background.
Origins of the brand
Although RooBrew has no ties to the University of Akron, its kangaroo brand is synonymous with the University and its mascot, Zippy. The RooBrew mascot, "Roo", is popular with University of Akron supporters and the wider Akron community in general.
