Ronald Izaruku
Ronald Izaruku (born 14 January 1982) is a Ugandan librarian and researcher. He is born to Moluma Philip and Muraa Francisca. He is the Librarian I in the Lira University.He is currently a linkperson for Electronic Resources and Informationand Communication Technology services at the same time incharge of medical library at Lira University. He is also a finance & management committee at Consortium of Uganda University Libraries
Early life and education
Izaruku was born on 14 January 1982 in Moyo Town council village, Moyo District, West Nile which is part of Nothern Uganda. He attended Moyo Town council Primary School. He studied at for both his Ordinary and Advanced Level education. After completing senior six, he joined Makerere University in Kampala on the 8th August, 2005 for Bachelor of Library and Information Science [BLIS] and later enrolled for Master of Science in Information Scinece in the same university at the same college of computing and infromation science.
Way to Lira University
He worked for Uganda Martyrs University (UMU), Kampala for over close to nine years from 1st September, 2009 to 30th November,2018 as Librarian (Electronic Resource Librarian).While at UMU, he gained vast knowledge that made him to win two grants to attend international trainings in Ghana and South Africa in 2015
