He spent his first season with the Rookie-level Casper Rockies and posted 1-3 record with 11.79 ERA with 20 strikeouts in 12 games, three for starts. He struck out a season-best five batters in his first start of season on June 24 against the Idaho Falls Chukars. In , he put up a 3-5 record with a 4.91 ERA in 13 games, 12 for starts.
